Disability Studies Conference at Lancaster University, UK

ILI’s Adolf Ratzka presented a keynote address at the Disability Studies Conference at Lancaster University, UK  September 7-9  2010. His presentation was “Beyond the Social Model of Disability: An emphasis on disabled peoples’ status as citizens and consumers is needed for self-determination and full participation." His view of consumerism as a corollary to citizenship did not go unchallenged as transcript of presentation and recorded video show.
